Halloween Costumes?

So I know nothing can top slutty waitress, grumble bear, jolly green giant, stripper lumberjack, fairy princess, and maverick, but I was wondering what all of your costumes will be this year. And don't tell me you don't have a costume. That's just ridiculous. Just to start you guys off: this year I will be dressing up as Professor Chaos. That's right: I'm going to flood the world using my outdoor spigot and destroy the ozone layer by spraying aerosol cans. It's going to be legen (and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the next half of that word is) dairy. Also my roommate Brent is dressing up as Sham-Wow guy. Word. Pictures will follow for sure.

An Assignment

Ok...I have an assignment for all of you. And for myself.

I'm aware that this year, rather than last, we're all a little busier. Especially Rissa...who decided to once again become a member of society. So, since we are coming up on a holiday weekend that happens to fall in what is, for me, the one brief respite I have between my giantly-stressful brief being due and the point at which I will have to start studying for exams, I think the opportunity needs to be seized, like a day in a Robin Williams movie.

So...at some point during Halloween weekend...you need to get drunk. Yes, you. Even you, Joe. You need to get drunk and have a good time and write about it here. Or drunkenly call me. That is it.

I, for one, will be drinking on Thursday AND Saturday (Friday I'll be working...sadface) so I hope to do my best to carry the mantle.

Hooray for taking a break from all, most, some, or part of our worries.

Vacuum Packed Reminiscence

1. My brother got married yesterday. It was a wonderful time. I'm sure pictures will present themselves in due time.

2. Robin, I'm a maybe for FF party-time. We'll have to play it by ear.

3. Everyone: Today Jessie and I went to Trader Joe's, and I wanted to buy something for lunch, so I got a couple of Pad Thai boxes. I had one of them this afternoon, and I was instantly hit with a memory of those Tiger Tiger Pad Thais that they used to have at Bear Mart that sold out every time they stocked them and were a major contributor to the Nick-Loyal-Gains-Twenty-Pounds Autumn of 2005 (along with, you know, cheese fries and 4 nights a week of drinking).

So anyways, I looked for them, andddddd: booyah.

Unfortunately, they are on backorder. But I really want some now, and I hope you all do too.

That is all.

Flash Forward Party?

So I watched the first two episodes and I'm going to have to echo Nicholas's tentative excitement. So whatcha think? Nick? Rissa? You other lame-o's who aren't going to join us anyway? Next Thursday. Let's do it.

THIIIIISSSSSSS MUCH!

*Holds arms apart to demonstrate a large quantity*

It's ok Nicholas, we still love you. Agreed on "No Surprises." Best part of the episode. You forgot 1)Dexter: Ok. There's potential here. I'm optimistic. And 2)Californication: Continues to be awesome.

I'm finally getting started on BSG season 1, so I don't know if we'll be able to do book club. Sad face.
